A brand new scheme has been designed to help firms upskill employees across Cheshire. Local = businesses can fund a huge chunk of Microsoft Office and Autodesk CAD training by taking advantage of the support.
Companies and staff who live/work in Cheshire and Warrington can access the financial support online and cover 40% of course costs – enabling employers to adopt new technologies and business processes.
The money is being made available through the Accelerate Project – a scheme funded by the European Social Fund and delivered by the University of Chester with support from the Local Enterprise Partnership.
A wide range of Microsoft and Autodesk approved CAD courses are available for funding – from beginner to advanced programmes.
Training will be mainly delivered online, with the option to attend the classroom either on-site or from training centres in Birkenhead and Manchester.
All courses come with a full certificate of attendance.
SquareOne – a Wirral-based digital skills training provider – has been selected in a competitive tender by Accelerate to carry out the training for the Cheshire region as part of the Skills for Growth programme.
Lisa Johnson, Managing Director of SquareOne commented: “With UK business leaders crying out for employees with the latest IT skills, this is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to take advantage of the funding in order to upskill their employees with industry leading training.”
The funding is available until 30 May 2022, so businesses are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
