The Company Behind I’m A Celebrity’s £7million Indoor Attraction Reports Revenue Growth

MC Construction’s clients include THG, Trafford Council and Master Builders Solutions UK.

A Manchester construction company, the dominant contractor for I’m a Celebrity’s £7million indoor arena in Salford, recently announced its latest financial results exceeded expectations.

MC Construction has recorded a revenue of £15 million during the year ended September 2021, up from the £10 million it placed during the same period last year.

The Salford-based company said the increase of 36% was “well ahead” of its target at the start of the year.

It’s still less than last year’s figure of £19.1m, before the Covid-19 pandemic.

Managing director David Lowe said MC Construction had begun the new fiscal year with a “strong order book”, which included a record number of projects in the weeks leading up to Christmas.

Its convincing performance has also led to the recruitment of nine new skilled staff.

Among the highlights of the recent fiscal year included being appointed as the main contractor for a £7million indoor attraction based on the hit ITV program I’m a Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here.

Therefore, the I’m a Celebrity Jungle competition opened in July at Quayside Media-City, formerly known as Lowry Shopping Centre.

Clients the award-winning company has attracted over the last year have included Trafford Council, THG, and Masters Builders Solutions United Kingdom.

The company has been appointed to the Cheshire East Council framework and won a place on the £1.6billion LHC public buildings construction and infrastructure project.

Construction Company MC Construction employs 60 people in the northwest, focusing on commercial, education, heritage, hospitality, industrial, local government, social housing, and healthcare.

No figures have been released for the company’s profit for the year.

Mr Lowe commented: “So the Covid crisis impacted us at the beginning, while we have recovered and secured a good number of new clients over the past year.

“By the end of our most recent fiscal year, our order book was complete, and our performance for the 12 months exceeded our hopes, an accomplishment looking at the state of the market.

“After a busy and successful financial year, we are delighted to have secured a record volume of work for the pre-Christmas period, which has traditionally been a quiet one, and we are fully booked until March 2022.”
