A month-long wellness initiative launched at Trafford Palazzo, part of TraffordCity, has attracted over twenty thousand visitors over the course of the event after owners collaborated with over 30 local businesses to create a bespoke programme of events.
A 1,200 sqft dome was erected in the mall of Trafford Palazzo and has played host to craft workshops and garden games, motivational talks, and yoga for all ages. It has been bursting with exciting, fun-filled activities involving local organisations, mentors, fitness specialists & wellness coaches.
The first week of activities focused on emotional wellbeing with brands such as Instagram favourite The Juice Hub as well as The Veggie Deli popping up at the spacious mall. A packed events schedule included yin and yang yoga by Laura Jones, dream catcher and worry dolls workshops by Kate’s Crafts as well as motivational talks from renowned inspirational speaker Steve Bryce.
The second week of activations was dedicated to the environment, a crucial part of everyone’s health and wellbeing. Kate’s Crafts, a firm favourite at Trafford Palazzo, hosted several workshops for adults and children including Natural Picture and Rainmaker Crafts with Laura Jones – providing yoga sessions for children throughout the week.
Laura Jones said: “It’s been incredible to utilise the space at Trafford Palazzo to deliver a range of yoga and wellness classes over the course of the four-week wellness programme which has had a fantastic response. I have really enjoyed showcasing my classes at Trafford Palazzo and it has really helped raise awareness of my business with most classes sold out throughout the event.”
Week three was centred around the importance of social interaction and communication. Feel Good Family DJ, Mike Don joined the line-up as well as a pop-up from Trafford Golf including a large inflatable golf board with target practice.
Instagram and Manchester favourite Feel Good Club also joined the fold alongside The Juice Hub who saw record numbers of visitors to the pop up.
Sophie Roberts at Juice Hub said: “Utilising Trafford Palazzo has been great for our business and has really allowed us to elevate the brand in front of a completely different audience.
The Health and Wellness event was such a success and I felt so welcomed from the very start.
The benefits of partaking in this event have been surreal. The Juice Hub insight figures on Instagram have doubled and we have already received two corporate offers with more on the horizon. Whilst networking and meeting amazing people and brands, this was our first event in a retail space, thus making it a special part of The Juice Hub journey.
We would like to thank the team for their support and for presenting the opportunity. We hopefully look forward to collaborating again soon.”
Manchester Gymnastics also put on an energetic performance for visitors at Trafford Palazzo with a team of gymnasts performing several stunning routines.
Maxine Quinlan-Grech, Founder of Manchester Gymnastics said: “It’s been great to use the incredible space at Trafford Palazzo to showcase the young home-grown gymnastic talent we have in the area. The space was the perfect place to do this, and we are grateful to the Trafford Palazzo team for allowing us to raise the profile of the gymnastics club to a different audience in a completely new space.”
The fourth week saw Miss Kick and Manchester FA offering drop-in sessions throughout the weekend promoting women’s football and the different options for youngsters to get involved in the sport across the North-West.
Kate Holland Senior Marketing Business Partner, Peel L&P said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the feedback we have received so far. Health and wellbeing have been such a huge focus of global attention since the Covid pandemic. Being able to use our space to facilitate these wellness activities to harness wellbeing amongst our community has generated much interest and participation.
“We would like to thank all the business owners and organisations who have been able to use the Wellness event to reach out to our communities and all our customers who have engaged with the activities. This is part of a wider events strategy that we will be employing throughout the year to ensure we use the Trafford Palazzo stunning backdrop for a range of events that have a wide appeal.”
Peel L&P acquired Trafford Palazzo, formerly Barton Square, in April 2021 and launched a new brand for the scheme in November 2021. Trafford Palazzo is located adjacent to the Trafford Centre and attracts five million visitors each year.
