Pretzel Group on a roll after winning British Sandwich Week account for second year running

After the triumph of last year’s event, Cheshire-based Pretzel Group has been appointed by the British Sandwich & Food to Go Association to manage the publicity campaign again for this year’s British Sandwich Week, which takes place 22nd – 28th May.

The agency – a fully integrated digital, PR and social media service – will support the organisers, trade body the British Sandwich & Food to Go Association, and its members, which include big players such as Greggs, Subway and Co-op.

Pretzel Co-founder Becki Wiper said: “We’re thrilled to be once again working with the team behind British Sandwich Week. To be given the chance to build on the momentum of last year’s event, is just brilliant.

“We can’t wait to get working on this year’s campaign. We’ll have award-winning sandwiches, unusual sandwiches, famous sandwiches, tips for staying in your food budget and sandwiches fit for a Queen, plus lots of other tasty sarnie-related content.

“The best thing about these foodie celebration weeks is that they’re not only supporting the economy to make a strong comeback, they’re also about getting British businesses from the sector together and celebrating the innovation of food vendors large and small.”

Co-founder, John Butcher added “Pretzel was born from the desire to offer a fully integrated service for our clients. Projects such as British Sandwich Week allow us to showcase how we can add value for clients with digital services as well as digital PR and traditional PR working hand-in-hand to achieve compelling, trackable results.

“We’re proud of our creativity and have a strong team of PR professionals, digital and brand marketers, content creators, social media experts and designers in place. We’re confident we will meet and surpass last year’s success. And all that aside, who wouldn’t jump at the chance to talk about sandwiches for a week.

Jim Winship said: “Having worked with Pretzel on previous publicity campaigns, we never thought twice about re-appointing them as our agency for British Sandwich Week 2022. The team is highly professional and brimming with ideas and creativity which translate into proven results.”

British Sandwich Week will take place between 22nd – 28th May, visit https://britishsandwichweek.com for more information.   Ac
