CHARLES CLINKARD TO OPEN NEW STORE IN WILMSLOW

LEADING independent footwear retailer, The Clinkard Group, today announces it is set to open its new Wilmslow store in the heart of Cheshire this weekend.

Following a £100,000 investment, the 1,300 sq ft store will open its doors on Saturday 2 April and be situated in the former Haslams of Wilmslow footwear store on Grove Street, allowing Charles Clinkard to reach its growing customer base in the North West.

The new store is set to create up to 12 full and part-time retail jobs within the region and will offer customers the opportunity to shop its selection of men’s, women’s, and children’s footwear within its open floor plan, including brands such as Gabor, FitFlop, Rieker and Skechers.

Tim Payne at The Clinkard Group said: “Opening a store in Wilmslow is an important step for us as it gives presence for the brand in the North-West, an area where we haven’t been represented for several years. In modern retailing it’s vital that we can offer services such as click and collect for our local online customers, and also provide an opportunity for them to see our ranges and talk to our teams face to face; this personal service is becoming even more of a unique proposition on the high street and is an area we feel we continue to excel in.

“We are also delighted to bring our most popular children’s brands to Wilmslow, and to offer the customers an addition to the broad range of comfortable, quality footwear they had previously before the closure of the longstanding independent shoe shop in the town.”

Charles Clinkard Wilmslow will be open from Saturday 2 April. For more information on Charles Clinkard and its new store, please visit www.charlesclinkard.co.uk
