Equilibrium Tops the List as Best Financial Services Company to Work For

Handforth-based Equilibrium Financial Planning has secured the top spot on the Best Companies league table, as the best financial services company to work for in the UK. The business has upheld the title, after first receiving it last year.

The Best Companies league tables recognise organisations that go above and beyond for their employees and spotlight businesses that see workplace engagement as a vital part of their success. The lists are updated on a quarterly basis and are based mainly on employee surveys, with top performing businesses being awarded a Best Companies accreditation.

In the same ceremony, Equilibrium secured the 3rd spot on the regional list of best companies to work for in the North West and came 4th place in the medium-size national category.

The accolades acknowledge the industry-leading initiatives the business has implemented to improve the employee experience, such as flexible working, wellbeing workshops, menopause and mental health training, and enhanced sick pay and holiday allowance. Equilibrium also runs a Diploma Academy, which is a two-year course for people seeking a career in finance, with the company paying for the exams and study resources.

To help any employees who may be struggling with the cost-of-living increases, the company has created a fund to help with difficult times. Being a financial services provider, Equilibrium has also ensured that all of their employees have a good level of financial education and awareness.

Colin Lawson, founder at Equilibrium Financial Planning, said: “We are elated to have been named the best financial services company to work for again, and to have improved our position on the North West list by six places. We’re passionate about ensuring that Equilibrium is a wonderful place to work, and this incredible achievement is testament to the hard work of the whole team.

“Having this recognition helps us to attract and retain the best talent in the financial services industry, something which our clients really value as it means they receive the best possible service. A number of initiatives are in place to support all of our employees and we are continuously looking for additional ways that we can enhance their experience and reward their hard work and commitment.”
