Mayor picks Amazing Amy as Star Teacher

Local lady and swimming teacher at Puddle Ducks has been named as their most recent ‘Star Teacher’ for Spring 2022. Amy French was chosen by Mayor, Sam Naylor based on nominations from her little swimmers and their families.

Puddle Ducks is a local baby and child swim school, with a flagship pool located in Barons Quay, Northwich.

The nomination that led to Amy’s crowning as Star Teacher read: “I’d like to nominate Amy for Star Teacher. Every week she is a ray of sunshine, full of smiles, energy and enthusiasm, even on the last class of the day. Our son loves her and really looks forward to his lesson every week. Thank you Amy!”

On choosing this nomination, Sam Naylor remarked: “For being a ray of sunshine even at the last class of the day! Sounds like the perfect instructor to me.”

Amy also received lots of other nominations which praised her positivity and clarity, with one full of praise: “My little girl is very nervous in the water. Amy not only adapts the class to suit her needs but does this in a way that is very subtle so it doesn’t feel like my daughter is getting singled out or getting special treatment. She has quickly gained her trust and we couldn’t ask for a better teacher!”

Amy is Puddle Ducks Star Teacher for Spring 2022 225x300 1

Amy joined Puddle Ducks as a teacher in 2019 after a career change. She has a degree in Primary Teaching, specialising in Language, Communication and Literacy – skills she continues to use in her role as a teacher! She teaches Aqua Natal, Baby and Pre-School and Swim Academy lessons.

Amy says “Joining the Puddle Ducks team was the best decision I made career wise. It really was the light I needed at a time where I was unsure what to do with my career. It works beautifully around my family and I just love it!”

Puddle Ducks offer lessons for mums-to-be, and for children from birth to age 10, teaching them to love and respect the water, whilst learning to swim beautifully.
