Hotel Football Celebrates Record Year as 21/22 Season Comes to a Close

Hotel Football has celebrated a record year, seven years after launch.

The football-themed hotel, located adjacent to Old Trafford was developed and opened by the iconic Class of 92 and offers an unrivalled view of the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ as well as offering a selection of match-day hospitality packages to coincide with Manchester United’s fixtures and a corporate delegate experience like no other.

The hotel has gone from strength to strength since launch with over £200,000 raised for charity, a growing team with over 200 staff working across the site, many who have been there since 2015, and record-breaking match-day hospitality figures.

Since its launch, the hotel has welcomed over 260,000 guests, donated 3,500 room nights to NHS workers during the pandemic and has seen over 50,000 people walk through the doors on match days.

Following a year of rapid growth, the hotel has now put plans in place for a full refurbishment of Cafe Football. This is to help build guest engagement and truly channel the brand values- Inviting, Surprising & Playful. The venue has also upgraded its current technology systems within the Meeting & Events Spaces, in order to further improve the delegate experience.

Jessica Southworth, Director of Sales and Marketing said: “Since launching Hotel Football seven years ago we have had incredible success and we are delighted to see how much the venue has grown and how much we have been able to develop our offering. We have an exciting calendar of events coming up and we are really looking forward to watching our team expand as we continue to strive to position Hotel Football as not only one of the greatest sporting hotels in the country but as a leading destination for corporate delegates, families and tourists.”

Opened in 2015 Hotel Football is situated across the road from Old Trafford. It provides 133 rooms as well as housing Cafe Football, OTSC and five unique events spaces including indoor roof-top football pitch, Heaven.
