Chester-based Sykes Holiday Cottages has been nominated for two British Travel Awards this year.
The UK’s largest independent operator of UK holiday rental properties is up the top prize in both the Best Large UK Cottage Holiday Company and Best Large UK Breaks Holiday Company categories.
If Sykes wins the former later this year, it will have retained the title for nine consecutive years.
The British Travel Awards are the largest UK consumer-voted award programme across any industry, so winners will be decided by the public.
Holidaymakers have until 2nd October to vote for their favourite nominees here: https://www.britishtravelawards.com/btaform.php?nomLink=142
Those who vote are automatically entered into a prize draw, with the chance to win a range of prizes including a £500 Sykes voucher.
Graham Donoghue, CEO at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “Our nomination for not just one, but two huge awards is a real testament to the incredible year we’ve had. Even over the last few months, we’ve completed our biggest-ever acquisition and entered new markets.
“Our success at the British Travel Award still means as much to us now as the first time we won nearly a decade ago, so we would love for those locally who have enjoyed a Sykes break to vote for us and show their support.
“After a challenging time for the industry, it’s good to be able to come together and celebrate each other’s achievements.”
Founded over 30 years ago, Sykes now manages more than 22,500 holiday homes throughout the UK and Ireland and expects to take more than 2.65 million customers on holiday in 2022.
The group employs over 1,700 people and in headquartered at One City Place near Chester train station.
Earlier this year, Sykes acquired Forest Holidays, the UK’s leading owner and operator of environmentally sensitive cabins, and static caravan rental website UKcaravans4hire.
