SYKES ANNOUNCES RECRUITMENT PUSH IN NORTH WEST

Sykes Holiday Cottages is currently recruiting for 100 roles in the North West as part of its continued growth.

The holiday home rental agency, which has already welcomed more than 300 new starters this year, is looking for people of all levels of experience to fill a variety of hybrid working roles based at its HQ in Chester.

This includes positions within its operations, property recruitment, tech and customer relations teams, with salaries of up to £80,000 a year.

The recruitment push forms part of Sykes’ rapid expansion in recent years, with the business recently acquiring static caravan rental website UKcaravans4hire and taking a controlling stake in Forest Holidays, the UK’s leading operator of environmentally sensitive cabins.

The combined group of three businesses under Sykes’ leadership offer more than 29,000 holiday accommodation options and are estimated to take more than 2.6 million customers on holiday in 2022.

Graham Donoghue, CEO at Sykes Holiday Cottages, said: “It’s a pivotal time for Sykes as we accelerate our ambitions to become the leading name in UK tourism and, as a result, we’re expanding at an incredible rate.

“Working at Sykes means more than just having a job – we really care about our colleagues, both personally and professionally. Our amazing team is central to our success so we are committed to making it the very best place to work.”

The fast-growing tech business, which celebrated its 30th anniversary last year, has been named as one of the Sunday Times’ 75 best companies to work for in the North West.

The business is an accredited Living Wage employer, meaning it has committed to a minimum wage of at least £19,305 per year.
