Actress and Cheshire Mum launches fitness business after the devastating death of her father to Sepsis

Alex Harding, aged 37 and a Cheshire mum, and bikini bodybuilder who transformed her own physique has launched her coaching business following the death of her father last year to sepsis. Alex who has starred in Coronation Street, left the world of acting to become a fitness coach and is determined to help others feel confident in the gym and hit their weight loss goals. After training for several years and competing in amateur bikini class bodybuilding, Alex felt compelled to change careers after the traumatic death of her father in April 2021.

Alex said, “Grief has taught me so much. After Dad died, I realised just how precious and short life is. You should do what you love and it’s my dream to help others transform their bodies and develop unshakable confidence. I teach my clients how to live a healthier lifestyle so they can carry it on long after my coaching.”

Alex is hosting an event in her hometown of Sandbach to launch her business ‘Alex Victoria Fit’ and raising funds and awareness for The UK Sepsis Trust. Her friend actress, burlesque performer and producer, Cherie Bebe will be hosting the event. A representative from the charity will also attend the event. The event will be at The Wheatsheaf, Sandbach on 17th September between 2-6pm and everyone is welcome.

Several local businesses have come forward to support the cause. Alex said “I’m so grateful for the support received in my local community. It’s very important to me and my family that we raise awareness of sepsis, and I would urge people to visit The UK Sepsis Trust website to familiarise themselves with the symptoms as it just may save a life.

Alex went on to say, “After dad died, I didn’t want to get out of bed. I was broken, but slowly with the help of my family, friends, and amazing colleagues I picked myself up and fast forward a year I’m a qualified fitness coach and helping people to live better lives. The event is dedicated to my dad’s memory and will give something back to my local community.”
