North-West Property Investor and mum of two, Kristina Castellina, 36, is making a huge impact on the property world across the North West and beyond…

“I invested almost £20K of my life savings into mastering the art of property development and I now have a multi million-pound property portfolio across the North West and beyond…”

Despite being a professional singer and performer in her initial career, Kristina has now built an impressive multimillion-pound property portfolio over the past few years, after realising she craved more security than a career in entertainment could provide.

Kristina travelled the world and performed at venues such as; MGM Grand in Vegas and singing alongside the likes of Bonnie Tyler and other celebrities, but as Kristina started to think about starting a family, she was desperate to provide them with more stability than she’d had growing up and so retrained to take a different path, investing her £20K life savings into training and mastering the art of property development.

Kristina said; “To my parents’ horror, I invested my life savings of nearly £20K into property training, but within a year I had completed on two houses and I haven’t looked back since. Since 2014, I have purchased over 30 properties, some to flip, but mostly to keep. I started without any capital, but I was creative in the way I did my property deals and used different property strategies. I put everything I had into this transition from performer to entrepreneur. I worked extremely hard whilst I initially built the portfolio, viewing houses by day and singing by night. I have since built an impressive multi million-pound property portfolio and I’m so excited to be living the life I want and encouraging others, particularly mothers, to step out and do the same.”

Kristina’s latest renovation project Empress Hall in Blackpool, is a 178 sq metre charming building, which has been truly transformed. This project was inspired by lockdown and driven by Kristina’s own desire for connection, she harnessed her passion for creating beautiful spaces to develop this property into a party and retreat ‘celebration house’ – one that will help connect people and encourage celebration of life as; groups of friends, entrepreneurs, or colleagues… coming together to take time out of their busy lives. Kristina also has high hopes that her creative interior design and playful style will attract the eyes of film location bookers, celebrity photographers and indeed local stars themselves.

She said: ”I’m so excited to have created this incredibly charming property, which is focused around the joy of people coming to together to have fun, a space where life can be celebrated. I got so excited to bring this property to life again and I can already feel it is going to be somewhere very special – I get a great energy from it.”

The building, which can sleep 20, has been created as a space to entertain and relax, providing true escapism from the trials and tribulations of everyday life – with a cinema room with a popcorn and candy trolley, games room with pool table, football table, old school arcade machines, a music room with bar, juke box and karaoke machine and a huge dining table and social area where guests can sit and eat together. Positive quotes around reminding people “they are enough”, to “live in the moment” and to have “self love” also create an empowering setting within Empress Hall.

She said: “I am so proud of what we have created. This project was a huge team effort, my builders Phil, Tracy and Lee were incredible and Lucy at Furnish my Property totally understood my vision and ran with it… there were so many more people involved, too many to mention, but every single person got such a buzz from working on this project. The Empress Hall is filled with love, passion and vibrancy.“

Kristina reclaimed her place in the world, having found her purpose, and her voice, and having learnt how to create financial independence through investing in property has created huge wealth for herself and her family, whilst also creating stability.

She concludes; “My mission in property ultimately is to create spaces where people can feel safe, secure and create beautiful memories – I also want others to see property as a route for financial independence. On a personal level, I want to inspire others, particularly other women, and mums, with the message that no matter what your background, your obstacles or financial position, anything is possible if you’re willing to bet on yourself and have courage. I’d love to see more women taking control of their finances and not feeling embarrassed to talk about goals and money. If I can inspire others with my story, I’d be thrilled.”
