“This is the next step in an exciting and ongoing development phase for our business.”

GROWING tech firm Connectus has extended their network footprint to two new Cheshire sites in a move which will allow them to provide services to an increased number of UK regions.

Under the expansion plan, Connectus will now deliver services at Cheshire business hubs in Canalside and Northwhich.

They will also provides services in the Southside area of Birmingham and at Woodside on the Wirral.

The roll-out by the business-focused UK ISP and Managed Service Provider’s is part of an ongoing network infrastructure strategy which will allow Connectus to work with more than 1,000 companies before the end of the year. They currently work with 820 clients.

Commenting, Roy Shelton, the CEO of the Connectus Group, said: “This is the next step in an ongoing development phase for our business.

“It allows businesses to access gigabit capable services from just £99 per month. Our network roll out strategy is focused purely on businesses and will empower them on their digital transformation journey with the provision of business grade VoiP, which is fully integrated to TEAMS, Microsoft 365 licensing, migration and support. Through secure hosting we will also help provide a fully managed cyber security offering along with unrivaled IT support and service management.”

Mr Shelton said the Connectus Group’s business model – which seeks to allow firms to Connect, Protect and Collaborate – was really appealing to those looking to address the cost of living crisis and the growing threat of cyber attacks.

“We are experiencing a growing demand for services as businesses look to bolster cyber defences, and support a growing demand for hybrid working,” Mr Shelton added.

“We are planning further investment to bring the number of companies we work with past 1,000 within the next 3-6 months. By increasing our hosting and cyber security capabilities with additional resources we can ensure we build upon the successful outcome which we already deliver for our 820 plus customers across the Connectus Group “

Details of the roll-out comes months after the Connectus Group revealed it was freezing recurring subscription fees in a bid to support its clients through the cost of living crisis.

The decision by the firm, which is one of the country’s leading IT Managed Service providers, will benefit up to 820 clients and save them hundreds of pounds.

The UK Government is currently continuing to try and persuade some of the major mobile and broadband providers to do the same.

Earlier this year CEOs from BT, Vodafone, Virgin Media/O2 (VMO2), Three UK, TalkTalk and Sky Broadband were all summoned to a  meeting at Number 10.

The summit came after most of the major operators imposed annual price hikes of up to around 10% on some customers.
