Local swim school pool’s first birthday!

Local baby and child swim school, Puddle Ducks Mid-Cheshire, celebrated the first birthday of their very own, purpose built, Puddle Ducks pool in Barons Quay last weekend (26th August).

It has been an incredible year for everyone at Puddle Ducks Mid-Cheshire with over 4,000 baby and preschool classes and 2,000 swim academy classes delivered and with 44,000 names ticked off the register, this special birthday was cause for celebration.

The party included an amazing cake, homemade by one of the team, balloons, birthday flags and of course, a special guest appearance from Puddle who was out and about all day meeting the swimmers and celebrating with the community.

Rachel Bateson from Puddle Ducks Mid-Cheshire commented: “I can’t believe it’s already been a year – it has flown by! It’s been absolutely wonderful, full of amazing people and it was great to celebrate this milestone surrounded by such a fantastic team and to reflect on everything that has been achieved over the past year.

“We are delighted to have had the opportunity to teach so many youngsters to swim and to love the water over the last year in our pool.

“It’s amazing to be part of the Puddle Ducks ‘full circle moment’. Barons Quay was the first purpose-built pool in the network and it’s fitting that it is located where it all began, in Northwich in 2002. Our pool has become a pillar of the local community and to see how the Puddle Ducks Mid-Cheshire community has grown over the past year fills me with excitement for the years to come.”
