GET ON THE MOVE WITH REDROW THIS SEPTEMBER

Housebuilder offers to cover up to £5000 of estate agency fees to get homeowners moving

  • Almost 1 in 3 of Britons see costs as the main obstacle to their moving plans
  • Survey respondents rank moving home as a more stressful life milestone than having children, changing job or getting married

Leading housebuilder, Redrow is hosting an event to support those looking to move to a new-build property, after research confirmed that 28% of Britons see costs as the main barrier to their moving plans.

Over the weekend of September 24 and 25, Redrow is offering to cover estate agency fees up to the amount of £5,000 to any customer who visits one of its sites and starts the process of buying a new home.*

When contemplating a house move, worry about costs sat ahead of the stress (23%), the logistical challenges (16%) and the emotional implications (15%).

The offer is available at more than 100 of Redrow’s communities with homes available across England and Wales including:

  • Woodford Garden Village, Woodford
  • Tabley Park, Knutsford
  • Water’s Reach and Weaver Park, Hartford
  • Kingsbourne, Nantwich
  • Ledsham Garden Village, Ledsham
  • Kings Moat Garden Village, Chester
  • Millstone View, Penymynydd
  • Daresbury Garden Village, Daresbury
  • The Groves, Liverpool

Helping hand

As well as helping people move into new homes, Redrow often helps its homebuyers sell their previous houses and statistics show that, typically, they sell their home in 21 days for 100% of the asking price, trumping the wider national average of 28 days and 98%**.

This comes as reassuring news given that 41% of those polled identified moving house as the most stressful life milestone ahead of having children (29%), changing job (14%) or getting married (8%).

Given the money saved on estate agency fees, Redrow also asked respondents what they would spend £5,000 on if it was earmarked for property enhancements and upgrades.

A new kitchen was the most popular choice – cited by 27% of those polled – followed by improving the outdoor space (21%), new bathroom (18%), new furniture/furnishings (15%) and updating tech and appliances (11%).

Redrow homebuyers can create a My Redrow account so they can be the first to hear about new properties, save their favourites, manage their appointments and choose their finishing touches.

James Holmear, Group Sales Director at Redrow, said: “Whether you’re taking a step up or downsizing later in life, moving house is an incredibly exciting opportunity to start a new chapter in yours and your family’s life.

“However, it is not without its own stresses and challenges and at Redrow we recognise the logistical and financial implications of moving home and this weekend event is intended to represent a helping hand on that journey.

“For those considering making their next move, we invite you to visit your local Redrow community where we’re confident you’ll fall for our beautifully crafted homes – such as the Lifestyle range which offers a new way of living – and the thriving communities they sit within.”
