Pupils at Firs School in Chester learn about healthy eating

Pupils at the Firs School Chester, the leading independent school for boys and girls aged 0-11 years old, enjoy daily healthy meals and learning about the importance of healthy eating. The school prides itself on offering children healthy home cooked delicious meals prepared by the school’s very own Chef James onsite. The school is also able to offer pupils some of their own home grown produce thanks to the school’s fruit trees and vegetable patch.

As part of the school’s aim to inspire children to be healthy the children are also encouraged to run or walk a mile before school every Wednesday morning. The weekly pre-school exercise is enjoyed by the majority of children and has become a new healthy habit.

Headteacher Rosemary Evans comments “We are very proud that we offer our pupils delicious home made meals and snacks made by our wonderful in-house catering team. Establishing healthy eating and lifestyle habits is very important and we pride ourselves on inspiring the children to adopt a lifetime of healthy habits.”
