Express Solicitors, Top 100 law firm, announced the acquisition of Michael W Halsall Solicitors, in Newton-le-Willows – which completed its ambitious growth plans on 31 October 2022.

Express Solicitors’ practice in personal injury law sees itself strengthened by the addition of 37 new staff members and 2500 ongoing cases they are now taking over from the acquisition of Michael W Halsall Solicitors.
Established in 1987, Michael W Halsall Solicitors’ outgoing Directors detailed why it was so important for them to find the right successor practice before confirming an acquisition.

Kimberly Kirkby, Head of RTA at Express Solicitors, will be partly based in the Newton-le-Willows office for the foreseeable future while taking the lead on integration.
During the acquisition, Express Solicitors was advised by long term corporate law firm, O’Connors Solicitors, Liverpool; with Michael W Halsall Solicitors being advised by Clarke Wilmott, Manchester.
Leading Top 100 law firm Express Solicitors has continued to grow its caseload and now has over 20,000 cases. Maxey reported that Express Solicitors were delighted to have the continued support of RBS, and are keen to look for other suitable acquisitions as they strive to become the Number 1 Claimant Personal Injury firm in the UK.
