Law firm and Partner shortlisted for prestigious industry awards

A Chester-based law firm has been shortlisted for a top industry award alongside one of its longest-serving solicitors.

The Corporate team at Aaron & Partners, has been nominated as ‘Team of the Year’ in the corporate category at the Northern Powerhouse Awards, organised by legal directory The Legal 500.

Nationally recognised for its annual listings of the UK’s best solicitors, law firms and legal teams, The Legal 500 has also shortlisted Stuart Scott-Goldstone, Head of Corporate and Commercial at Aaron & Partners, for Northern Powerhouse Corporate Lawyer of the Year.

Stuart is a specialist corporate solicitor with a career spanning more than 25 years. He has been the lead legal advisor to clients on multiple successful business deals and acquisitions across the UK and internationally.

He said: “It’s a real honour to be shortlisted for this award. Each year, the Legal 500 listings are highly anticipated as a leading guide on those at the top of their game in their respective legal field, and I’m very proud that I, as well as many of my colleagues, continue to make the list.

To now be up for a Northern Powerhouse award is testament to the work we’ve put in as a law firm, and to see our work in the corporate field recognised as some of the best is very rewarding. We’ve always strived to put Chester and the North West on the map.

We have a fantastic team of professionals working on a diverse range of corporate affairs, including mergers and acquisitions,  management buy-outs, debt and equity financing, corporate reorganisations and joint ventures. Their work is second to none and it’s right that they’ve been recognised in such a prestigious category as Corporate Team of the Year.”

Nick Clarke, Senior Partner at Aaron & Partners said: “Congratulations to Stuart and the whole corporate team on these impressive nominations, which underlines the quality of their service and results for clients.”
