Housing association teams up to insulate homes

Plus Dane Housing has partnered with specialist energy assessors and property surveyors The Warmfront Team, to identify homes that could benefit from energy efficiency measures.

Together they have targeted more than 200 homes across Liverpool, Crewe and Wallasey that are eligible for free home improvements including loft insulation and cavity wall insulation.

The Warmfront Team then carries out assessments on the homes before South Coast Insulation Services does the work if the customer wants to go ahead.

Dennis Lally, Head of Planned Investment at Plus Dane, said: “Working in partnership with The Warmfront Team has had many advantages for us at Plus Dane. The ECO funding they have secured brings benefits to us as a housing association, including helping us work towards our sustainability targets, and improving the energy efficiency of our homes. Our customers will also benefit from warmer homes and potentially save on their energy bills as a result.”

Alex Hearn, managing director of The Warmfront Team, said: “We are delighted to be working with Plus Dane, utilising ECO funding, to improve the thermal efficiency of their homes across the North West. This is a fantastic partnership and we look forward to working together to help keep homes as warm and cost-effective as possible.”

Plus Dane customers eligible for the scheme will be contacted directly by South Coast Insulation Services. Customers can verify an operative’s identity at any time by phoning Plus Dane’s Customer Access Team on 0800 169 2988.
