Cheshire marketing agency named best in the North

A Holmes Chapel-based marketing agency has been hailed the best in the North of England and commended for adding ‘real value’ to the agricultural industry.

Hillsgreen was awarded ‘Best Small Digital Agency’ at the Northern Digital Awards 2023 (26th January) and collected its accolade in front of 400 people at a glitzy award ceremony at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.

The agency, which launched in 2018 and now employs 12 people, was recognised by judges who said: “This agency is adding real value within its sector. The agency has a clear purpose, has responded well to adversity and is delivering strong growth for its clients.”

Andy Venables, Managing Director of Hillsgreen, said: “To be able to kickstart 2023 with a win of this calibre is incredible and testament to the great work the team do. We’ve also been fortunate to work with some fantastic clients which has enabled us to execute innovative and creative campaigns that cemented a winning entry.

“Like many industries, the agricultural industry is facing challenges, particularly from rising input costs, so it was significant to us that the judges praised the value we have been able to add to the sector through marketing. It’s an industry we are extremely passionate about and one that myself, and many of the team, still operate in at various levels.”

The Northern Digital Awards recognise the very best in digital marketing campaigns and talent in the North of England.

Hillsgreen was also recently awarded ‘Best Small Budget Campaign’ at the 2022 Prolific North Marketing awards following its digital campaign to launch plant soil improver, Aquagrain, in the UK.

The majority of Hillsgreen clients are based in the Agricultural and Agri-tech industries. Clients include the NFU, Meadow Foods and Warrendale Wagyu, and local businesses such as Heaton House Farm and ASHBROOK.

It is also the powerhouse behind two sister brands, Cultivate and Mission AG. Cultivate is the industry’s leading bi-annual leadership conference and Mission AG is a ‘freemium’ B2C marketing network community for farmers, helping to connect agriculture with our consumers
