Knights set for further growth in Chester after two Partner hires

Legal and professional services business Knights has welcomed two new Partners into its team of specialists in Chester – as the team celebrates 10 years in the city and gears up for further growth.

Luke Pritchard and James Goddard both join Knights as Partners, taking the team to 13 Partners in Chester with expertise across several key areas of law.

Agriculture and Landed Estates specialist James Goddard brings more than 15 years’ experience – helping clients in Chester and beyond with a wide range of opportunities and challenges relating to agricultural properties.

James Goddard said:

“Joining Knights is a great opportunity to tap into the huge wealth of expertise here in Chester and across our network of offices. I’ve already seen the potential benefits that offers for clients in my first few weeks.

“It’s a really exciting time to join a growing team here in Chester and I’m really looking forward to the challenge.”

Luke Pritchard bolsters Knights’ Corporate team – which boasts a wealth of experience in Chester and across its offices nationwide. Luke has been working with clients for more than a decade, specialising in corporate and commercial law.

Luke Pritchard:

“I’m really pleased to be joining such a strong, tight-knit team. Even though it’s only my first week, there’s a clear sense of momentum among the team in Chester.

“The scale that Knights has offers so many opportunities for my clients, and I can’t wait to get started.”

The news of their arrival comes as Knights’ Real Estate Investment team, led by Jonathon Hogg in Chester, prepares to provide even more support for specialist real estate investment, development, and management firm Long Harbour.

Long Harbour recently appointed Jack Spearman as Managing Director of its Single Family Housing platform that aims to address the undersupply of high quality, energy efficient and modern, suburban housing in the UK.

Single Family Housing is a growing market, which is set to build up to 70,000 UK homes in the next decade. Long Harbour’s expansion into the market will drive more opportunities for growth at Knights.

Jack Spearman, Managing Director at Long Harbour, said:

“We’ve built up a great working relationship with the team at Knights as we’ve grown our UK Secured Income programme over the last decade. The Knights team are fast, effective and always helpful.

“Their expertise will be invaluable as we launch our new platform at Long Harbour.”

Knights’ growth coincides with preparations to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the business’ arrival in Chester.

Jess Neyt, Knights’ Client Services Director in Chester, said:

“We’ve got so much talent here in Chester – and it’s brilliant to welcome James and Luke into the team.

“They join the team at the perfect time, helping to strengthen our expertise and capitalise on some really exciting opportunities as we look to grow the team.

“After 10 years of working alongside brilliant clients, we’re excited to see what the next few years hold for our team here in Chester.”

Knights is one of the fastest-growing legal and professional services businesses in the UK.

With 26 offices nationwide, Knights is ranked within the top 50 UK law firms by revenue – with specialists in all key areas of corporate and commercial law.

Thirty-six of those specialists are based in Chester office at HQ Offices, next to Chester Racecourse.
