Dexma Rebrands as Spacewell Energy, Expanding its Global Presence with Over 10,000 Customers in 35 Countries

Spacewell Energy, formerly known as Dexma, a leading provider of intelligent energy management solutions for buildings, retail, and industry, has announced its rebranding to reflect its new identity. The company’s new name will encompass all its projects, both domestically in Spain and internationally.

Since being acquired by multinational corporation Spacewell in 2020, Spacewell Energy aims to solidify its position as a frontrunner in efficient energy management in Europe, while also pursuing expansion into new international markets.

Spacewell Energy offers a data-driven energy intelligence platform, delivering a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution that empowers facility and property managers, energy service providers, and consultants. With real-time analytics, the platform enables users to monitor energy consumption, analyze usage patterns and inefficiencies, and detect anomalies. It plays a crucial role in optimizing building energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions for businesses.

Automated energy data management solutions play a pivotal role in minimizing the environmental impact of organizations and building portfolios. By leveraging artificial intelligence, these tools generate valuable insights into building behavior, resulting in reduced energy costs, better resource management, and enhanced overall building performance.

Spacewell Energy: Addressing the Evolving Needs of Organizations

The adoption of the new corporate name signifies the completion of the integration process initiated in 2020 when Dexma merged with Spacewell, a technology company previously part of the Nemetschek multinational. According to Xavi Novella, the appointed Managing Director of Spacewell Energy, “The world, technology, and organizational needs are evolving, and at Spacewell Energy, we are committed to addressing these new challenges. We respect the progress we have made so far and look to the future with optimism and a strong desire for continuous growth.”

Expanding International Reach

With a customer base of over 10,000 across 35 countries, particularly in the UK, Spain, France, Benelux, and Italy, Spacewell Energy has experienced significant growth in 2022, witnessing a 24% increase in software license sales. To further strengthen relationships with international clients and facilitate future expansion, the company will maintain its headquarters in Barcelona while extending its global reach into Europe and other regions. This expansion plan involves the establishment of new teams in the Benelux countries, the United States, France, Germany, India, and the Nordic countries.

Technology Driving Energy Efficiency

In an era characterized by inflation and escalating energy costs, Spacewell Energy’s solutions leverage data to provide real-time insights into energy consumption, including anomalies, inefficiencies, and usage patterns. By utilizing this information, businesses can achieve energy savings of up to 20%.

Over 40% of Spacewell Energy’s workforce specializes in designing and developing energy management solutions. The company is committed to supporting businesses and organizations in adopting a responsible approach to energy consumption, leading to cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint.
