Resignation of Citypark Fitness Visionaries Steven Dick and Scott Agnew Amid Unprecedented Expansion in Fitness Group Education

In a momentous turn of events, Citypark Fitness trailblazers, Steven Dick and Scott Agnew, have opted to disengage from their active roles at Citypark Fitness, culminating an impactful eight-year stint at the helm.

Their attentions are now fixated on nurturing The Fitness Group Education Limited, an entity dedicated to sculpting the forthcoming generation of personal trainers, endowing them with an expansive skill set transcending the conventional bounds of fitness knowledge.

Citypark Fitness, an eminent autonomous gym establishment encompassing 7,000 square feet, came into fruition back in 2015 through the collaborative efforts of Steve, Scott, and Thomas Anderson. Nestled within the Citypark edifice in Dennistoun, Glasgow, it burgeoned into a preeminent establishment in its own right.

Despite their triumphs within the realm of Citypark, the poignant realisation dawned on Scott and Steven that the time had arrived for them to step aside. Expressing his sentiments, Steven Dick voiced, “From its inception in 2015, the collective journey that Thomas, Scott, and I embarked upon with Citypark Fitness has been immensely gratifying. While the pandemic introduced its fair share of challenges, we ingeniously pivoted the gym’s offerings to encompass novel services, spotlighting small-group training. This innovation resonated profoundly with the Citypark Fitness community, positively impacting members’ lives through bespoke guidance.”

Citypark Fitness, now under Thomas Anderson’s stewardship, persists undeterred, poised to revolutionise the fitness landscape in Glasgow through its impactful and illustrious approach. As the curtain descends on Steven and Scott’s chapter, a fervent optimism shrouds the future of Citypark, as voiced by Steven:

“Recent recruitment of a fresh gym manager has injected newfound dynamism into the establishment. The trajectory of success persists unabated, evidenced by the sustained growth and positive outcomes over the preceding biennium. This triumphant trajectory will endure under Thomas’s captaincy, ably assisted by Peter, our gym manager, and the unwavering commitment of the entire Citypark Fitness Team.”

The Fitness Group Education, birthed in 2018 by the visionary duo of Steven and Scott, sprang forth from their personal challenges in enlisting capable personal trainers for Citypark Fitness. Founded with the noble mission to disseminate their wisdom, arming prospective trainers with a holistic skill set transcending the conventional training curriculum, The Fitness Group Education transcended its Glasgow origins, establishing a footprint across the UK, with key locations including Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, and London.

Presently, The Fitness Group Education orchestrates a virtual tutelage, spanning the length and breadth of the UK, extending its reach globally. It boasts an unrivaled curriculum encompassing online courses in diverse domains such as personal training and sports massage. Notably, The Fitness Group Education commands the respect and partnership of esteemed entities like the Ministry of Defence, TRX, Strength and Conditioning Education, The PFA, My PT Hub, English League Education, and numerous other venerable organisations.

The ethos of The Fitness Group Education revolves around furnishing burgeoning personal trainers with a robust foundation, fostering a comprehensive grasp of health, fitness, and nutrition, alongside the more esoteric facets of wellness and fitness. These include emergency first aid, pre and post-natal qualifications, mental health awareness, and spearheading physical activity programs for adolescents.

Steven Dick adds insightfully, “The mantle assumed by The Fitness Group Education entails charting a path in accessible education, a path that bolsters aspiring personal trainers. The subsequent generations must safeguard their well-being and kindle the spirit of entrepreneurialism among prospective trainers in a landscape saturated with specialised gyms and fitness technologies.”

As Steven Dick and Scott Agnew recede from the foreground, Citypark remains enshrined in their hearts. Offering a spectrum of premier features such as state-of-the-art equipment from eminent gym brands such as Life Fitness and Jordan Fitness, tailored female group training sessions, personalised one-on-one guidance, and endowed with the endorsement of The Fitness Group Education, Citypark’s trajectory knows no bounds.

Steven concludes with optimism, “The collaborative journey between myself, The Fitness Group Education team, and Citypark Fitness is poised to persist. The symbiotic relationship shall flourish, securing a radiant and illustrious trajectory for both institutions.”
