From Foster Care to Speaker of the Year: Jaz Ampaw-Farr’s Inspiring Success Story Continues

Jaz Ampaw-Farr, an extraordinary local woman from Milton Keynes, has once again been acknowledged as a leading voice in the speaking industry, securing the coveted Speaker of the Year award for the second consecutive year at the prestigious Speaker Awards. The event, held at the elegant DoubleTree Hilton Hotel, celebrated excellence in public speaking, honoring individuals who have made a significant impact through their powerful storytelling and motivational messages.

Outshining her competition, Jaz Ampaw-Farr triumphed in an incredible four out of the seven award categories, showcasing her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft. Alongside her well-deserved title of Speaker of the Year 2023, she also secured first place in three other awards, winning a total of four out of the seven available, including Storyteller of the Year 2023, Most Positive Impact 2023, and Best Live Gig 2023.

With an impressive track record of delivering over 3000 keynotes worldwide, Jaz Ampaw-Farr has firmly established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the speaking circuit. Her record-breaking TEDx Talk, titled “The Power of Everyday Heroes,” has touched the lives of more than 130,000 schools around the globe, highlighting the profound impact teachers can have on shaping young lives.

As a highly sought-after motivational speaker, Jaz captivates audiences with her powerful talks on the human revolution, covering themes such as AI and the future, human-first leadership, mindset, wellbeing, diversity, and belonging. Her dynamic presence has graced prestigious stages, including Google HQ, Central Westminster Hall in London, and the iconic First Direct Arena in Leeds, where she has inspired and uplifted thousands.

Not content with conquering the speaking world alone, a documentary is currently in production about her life, navigating neglect and foster care as a child and homelessness as a teen, and her journey to becoming an entrepreneur and international multi-award-winning speaker. Jaz has also secured a book deal to share her extraordinary journey from a broken child to the “pound shop Beyoncé!”

Reflecting on her latest achievement, Jaz shared, “It’s a huge honour to be recognised as Speaker of the Year for the second time, but even better is the response from people pledging to be 10% braver in their life, work and relationships. My journey proves that your past is not a script for your future!”

Jaz’s accomplishments have not only made her a role model for aspiring speakers but also a beacon of hope for individuals facing challenging circumstances. Her journey from a difficult upbringing to becoming an internationally renowned speaker and advocate for positive change serves as a powerful testament to the transformative power of determination and passion.
