Cheshire business owner undergoes snip to raise £1,200 for breast cancer charity

Phil Davis – co-owner of Cheadle’s DPC Clinic – has undergone the snip to raise more than £1,200 for Prevent Breast Cancer.

Along with his wife Penny (pictured back left), Phil runs the permanent make-up, aesthetics and skincare clinic on Stockport Road, and is well known for his long hair that he has been growing for more than a decade and often dyes bright colours.

In support of two of their close friends, one of whom they lost to breast cancer and the other, a local lady called Julie Harrison (pictured back right), who is now in remission, Phil accepted the challenge to have his crowning glory cut off to raise funds for the Prevent Breast Cancer charity.

Target smashed

Image shows Penny Davis back left and Julie Harrison back right with Phil Davis just after the big snip With the support of family, friends and clients at the clinic he has smashed his initial target of £500 raising more than £1,200 for an incredible cause that works tirelessly to prevent and protect future generations from breast cancer.

Despite his neck and ears being a little cold, Phil is embracing his new look and has already received lots of compliments.

He said: “Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and to everyone for their support and encouragement during October and the build-up to the actual ‘big snip’.

“I’m delighted to have raised so much for such a worthy cause and am gradually getting used to my new look when I catch sight of myself in the mirror.  A large proportion of my regular clients are female and we’re all aware of someone who has been affected by breast cancer, so it was my pleasure to do something small towards this good cause.”
