Fir Cones Day Nursery and Pre-School blooms with ‘good’ OFSTED

The Fir Cones Day Nursery and Pre-School in Chester is celebrating a ‘good’ status in its OFSTED inspection.

Excellent feedback was reported, which staff feel reflects the ability of the establishment to provide the highest of standards.

Fir Cones is an all year-round nursery and takes children from 0-4 years of age for 51 weeks of the year. It is affiliated to the independent primary, Firs School.

Developing a love of learning is very much at the heart of Fir Cones, along with a celebration of the amazing uniqueness of every child who attends.

The report was full of praise for the staff, highlighting ‘Staff notice when children
need reassurance or just a cuddle. They support children’s play gently and skilfully.
Babies receive the very best of care from the expert staff.’

Kathy Hague, manager at The Fir Cones Day Nursery and Pre-School said: “The children are all so happy and settled in this very special and calm environment and I couldn’t be prouder of what our expert team has been able to achieve.

“They really do give the very best of care, reassurance and warmth to the children and babies and we look forward to progressing with the same ethos providing a secure, stimulating, and caring environment where childhood is celebrated and the partnership between child, parent, and staff can flourish.”
