Karaca, Türkiye’s Premier Home and Lifestyle Brand, Advances Its UK Footprint

The Karaca brand, celebrated for its established 50-year legacy, has launched its second outlet at Westfield London, the largest shopping mall in Europe, succeeding its first store in Islington Square, a famed shopping hub in the UK’s capital.

Marking half a century in the Turkish home and lifestyle arena, Karaca is proud to unveil its second UK establishment, located at Westfield London, the most expansive shopping centre in Europe. This development signifies a pivotal moment in Karaca’s worldwide growth plan, following the favourable reception of its debut store in London’s Islington Square.

Since its inception in 1973, Karaca has risen to prominence in Türkiye, acclaimed for its extensive range of over 28,000 products. The brand has transformed the home and lifestyle sector with its innovative and superior quality products, encompassing everything from kitchen essentials and tableware to compact domestic appliances and sophisticated home décor. A highlight is the Fine Pearl Collection, the globe’s sole dinner set crafted from authentic pearls, demonstrating Karaca’s dedication to superior design and artistry.

Strategic UK Investment Initiates Global Market Expansion

Karaca’s global reach extends to 48 countries with 305 outlets and in excess of 2,000 sales points, reflecting its sustained renown and appeal. The brand’s venture into the UK market is a deliberate strategy to consolidate its status as a global frontrunner.

Cihangir Çetintırnak, Country Director of Karaca UK, stated, “After a solid history of 50 years, our vision is to establish ourselves as one of the top three brands in our category not just in Europe and America, but across the world. The opening of our second store in Westfield London, is a crucial milestone in achieving our 2030 vision. Following the success of our Islington Square store and our growing presence in the UK e-commerce market, we are enthusiastic about using the UK market as a springboard for expanding our global presence.”

Enhancing UK-Türkiye Trade Ties for a New Economic Alliance

Karaca’s UK expansion is in concert with the growing trade relations between the United Kingdom and Türkiye. The UK government has recently sought contributions to establish a renewed, modernised free trade agreement (FTA) with Türkiye, intending to replace the outdated 1990s agreement that primarily focuses on goods trading.

This new FTA is expected to be more inclusive, addressing sectors like technical and digital services and technology, to better cater to the needs of today’s economy. The surge in trade, reaching £26 billion in the 12 months to June 2023, underscores Türkiye’s position as a leading trade partner for the UK.

Karaca’s UK market growth mirrors this flourishing economic bond. The revised FTA is poised to provide more opportunities for Turkish businesses to establish and grow their presence in London and throughout the UK, thereby fostering a vibrant business environment and promoting cultural exchange.
