Cotton Traders raises £150,000 for Help for Heroes this year

An Altrincham fashion brand has celebrated raising £155,514 for Help for Heroes this year.

Celebrating 13 years of proudly supporting the charity, Cotton Traders presented the latest cheque at its annual Charity Golf Day & Gala Dinner, held at Carden Park last Tuesday.

For the second year running, the event was hosted by the company’s ambassador and TV star, Will Mellor, who has been the face of the brand’s menswear collection since 2022.

He joined guests for a three-course meal and hosted an evening of luxury raffles, entertainment, and live music.

The total amount has been raised through a variety of charity initiatives, including branded product sales, online donations, proceeds of in-store carrier bag sales and the Cotton Traders’ annual Golf Day and Gala Dinner.

Since 2011, Cotton Traders has raised a total amount of £1.8 million for Help for Heroes in aid of ex-service people and their families. The charity initiatives were shortlisted for best ‘Long Term Charity Partnership’ at the Corporate Engagement Awards, 2019.

Nick Hamblin, CEO of Cotton Traders said: “We are so proud to be Help For Heroes’ longest standing corporate partner to date and have raised over £1.8m for the inspiring charity. Our annual Charity Golf Day & Gala Dinner is a great opportunity for us to showcase how much your donations make a difference and we hope your continued support will allow us to reach our milestone of £2m donations over the next 12 months!”

Will Mellor (pictured left) added: “I was honoured to host Cotton Traders’ Charity Gala Dinner for the second year in a row. It’s such a special night and it’s amazing to see the impact these donations have on the individuals the charity supports.”
