A Cheshire artist who has been channelling her love of nature into her oil paintings for 20 years, will be completing a one-off artwork in the show garden of designer Nadine Mansfield at RHS Tatton Flower Show.
Sam Baguley says her painting will be inspired by the strength of Mother Nature, celebrating women and the beauty of flowers, nature and trees.
She said: “I have exhibited at RHS Tatton Flower Show in recent years and it’s a superb show case of creative talent. I am delighted to be working with Nadine to commemorate her first show garden in the Career Changer category. It’s also a great opportunity to raise money for two charities which do amazing work in the North West.”
Nadine said: “Sam is hugely talented, I love her work. When we got talking about possible collaborations, we knew that having Sam creating one of her beautiful paintings in the show garden would be a lovely way to show how relaxing and peaceful a garden can be. I am really looking forward to seeing the final artwork which will be exclusively revealed at the show.”
Sam has also kindly agreed to contribute 100% of profits from sales of prints of the painting to The Christie and Maggies charities who looked after Nadine’s very close friend Marcie Incarico, who passed away in May after battling cancer.
Nadine, who is dedicating the show garden to Marcie’s memory, said: “Marcie was an incredible woman, entrepreneur, and friend. Always the cheerleader of her pals, Marcie was the was first person to appoint my garden design services, always championing new talent and cheering on her friends from the sidelines.
“I knew Marcie for twenty years and she was one of the most incredible business women I have ever known; a unique human being, a super humble yet serious operator. Her diagnosis was a huge shock and her untimely death truly heartbreaking.
“I am dedicating the garden to Marcie’s memory and am delighted that we can raise some funds for the The Christie and Maggies at the same time.”
Sam Baguley’s prints can be ordered on her website after July 17, with 100% profits going to Marcie’s charities: https://www.
Nadine Mansfield, formally a marketeer for brands such as Manchester United, will be exhibiting within The Career Changer of The Year Competition, a brand new category for 2024. She will be at RHS Flower Show Tatton Park from July 17 – 21.
