Balqis Capital, a leader in private credit solutions, has confirmed a bat sponsorship deal with England cricket sensation Liam Livingstone.
This announcement coincides with Liam’s acquisition by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2025 auction, where he was bought for 8.75 crore.
The partnership marks a 12-month collaboration between Balqis Capital and the 31-year-old, who is currently the ICC’s top-ranked IT20 all-rounder and captained England in the ODI series against the West Indies in 2024.
In addition to his international career, Livingstone plays for Lancashire, Birmingham Phoenix, and Pretoria Capitals. He has also represented Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings in the IPL.
Arron Lilley, Global Sales Director at Balqis Capital, said: “At Balqis we have a huge passion for sport and we are excited to support Liam with this sponsorship deal.
“We are always looking for ways we can partner with athletes on their journeys through sponsorship and collaboration. This also includes working with them on what we do best – sourcing private credit projects. We have worked with several athletes as clients over the years, we specialise in working with advisers and high net worth individuals, so it seems the perfect synergy,” he added.
Understanding Private Credit
Private credit offers external capital to fund ventures or legal cases in exchange for a share of the returns. It is widely used in high-cost scenarios, including intellectual property disputes and commercial litigation.
Providing faster access to funds and tailored solutions, private credit is especially beneficial for businesses with unique financing needs. As an investment option, it offers attractive yields in a low-interest-rate economy.
