The Group That Makes Budweiser, Stella Artois, And Corona Has Inked A 20-Year Contract With Pub Chain JD Wetherspoon

Additionally, JD Wetherspoon will make several changes to its beer and cider offering. Beer giant Budweiser, which makes Stella Artois, Budweiser and Corona, has inked a 20-year agreement with pub chain JD Wetherspoon to make its company’s largest beer supplier.

The contract with Budweiser Brewing Group, a subsidiary of AB InBev, also covers Leffe Blonde and Bud Light, Mike’s Hard and Seltzer Bathtub Gin, and Bud Light Seltzer.

Furthermore, it will also see traditional ciders Strongbow and Strongbow Dark Fruits, substituted by Stowford Press Apple and Stowford Press Mixed Berries, produced by Westons Cider.

Also, Worthington’s bitter, supplied by Molson Coors, will replace John Smith’s bitter. Therefore, all these changes will come into effect from December 15 regularly.

Wetherspoon has also recently signed on long-term contracts with existing suppliers BrewDog, Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Corporation and Molson Coors.

Paula Lindenberg, Budweiser Brewing Group president, commented: “We are so pleased to expand our relationship with JD Wetherspoon.

“Customers continue to demand our premium beer. And this gives us an excellent opportunity to make a significant investment in the United Kingdom vibrant hospitality sector and adhere to the healthy demand nationwide for our craft beer.

“At Budweiser Brewing Group, we have the ideal recipe for success among Wetherspoon pubs. Also, we have a robust, leading portfolio that caters to developing consumer bearings, especially as people go for more premium brands post-Covid. Plus, we have a fully committed and skilled team that will offer high-quality, professional service to every venue.”

Tim Martin, JD Wetherspoon chairman, added: “Budweiser Brewing Group the United Kingdom and I will now be our biggest supplier, with premium beers Budweiser, Corona and Leffe Blonde. Furthermore, the company also offers Stella Artois and Bud Light and a wide range of high quality bottled beers.

Tim Martin, chairman, JD Wetherspoon, has further added that “We are also excited to have signed long-term supply agreements with BrewDog, Molson Coors Westons Cider, and Carlsberg.

“Wetherspoon will continue to offer a wide variety of traditional beers and craft brews from domestic and micro brewers at an affordable price. We are very captivated to have such a talented group of brewers which is supporting us from every aspect.”
