Total People launches events for business success through apprenticeships

With the new year a perfect time for employers to plan ahead, Total People is helping future business success thanks to its apprenticeships.

The leading North West apprenticeship training provider, which has dedicated engineering facilities in both Manchester and Cheshire, is providing learners with the essential skills needed by employers today while meeting the industry demands of tomorrow.

By bridging skills gaps and futureproofing businesses, Total People’s apprenticeships are helping employers to upskill their staff and ensure continued success.

Working closely with leading employers to get the right skills for their business is what makes Total People’s provision unique, according to Tracey Sheriff, Operations Manager for Total People’s engineering facilities in Crewe.

She said:

“Employers get to choose the engineering units that meet their business needs. This means that alongside a number of mandatory study units, their apprentices gain individualised learning suited to their current role and future businesses plans.

“Our learners gain a wide range of training and new skills – they even get to train on a robot! They’re trained by our tutors who have years of industry experience as well as industry specialisms, and our dedicated learning coaches are there to support employers as much as the apprentices.

“All of this combined ensures that employers can prioritise what’s best for their apprentice and for their company going forwards.”

For commercial vehicle learners, Total People has customised facilities which focus on bus, coach and HGV engineering based at the Wythenshawe Campus of The Manchester College

Following a £750k investment by its parent company LTE Group, the refurbished facilities and dedicated logistics bay provides higher vocational training for learners across LTE Group. In time, the facility will also support new skills in green vehicle and electric vehicle technologies.

Melanie Nicholson, Total People Managing Director, said: “We’re proud to offer excellent training programmes and high-quality provision for businesses across many different sectors.

“From small and medium enterprises to national brands, we support our employers every step of the way to ensure that their learners gain the right practical skills and their business can #leadthefuture through apprenticeships.”
