Arc launches new brand and Impact Strategy, with inclusivity and sustainability in staffing and recruitment in focus

One of the UK’s best-known casual recruitment agencies, Arc, has revealed its new brand, designed to reflect its position as a leading force in the world of flexible working.

The agency, which was founded in Liverpool in 2008, now operates across the UK in cities including London, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Established as Arc Hospitality, an event staffing specialist, the company has broadened its scope and now recruits candidates to work across industries including retail, warehousing and industrial, Covid-19 testing centres and healthcare settings.

Arc’s newly launched brand reflects the company’s vision to have a positive and lasting effect on the staffing and recruitment industry, using its core values of inclusivity and sustainability to deliver for all its stakeholders.

The launch of this new brand coincides with the publication of Arc’s Impact Strategy, detailing the tangible ways in which the company is prioritising both people and planet through its policies and actions.

By 2025, the agency is pledging to support 1,000 people facing barriers to employment into work through Arc Academy, its employability programme, and to engage 5,000 of its employees and candidates to take steps to combat the growing climate crisis.

Arc is also establishing an industry-wide initiative, alongside its clients, peers and community partners, to develop plans to build a fairer hospitality industry for workers.

Through its new strategy, Arc is paving the way for other recruitment agencies to follow suit, prioritising inclusive and sustainable practices and using their businesses as a force for good.

Mike Gavin, Director of Arc, said: “We’re very pleased to be launching our new brand and company vision, re-establishing ourselves as an agency focused on effecting positive change within the recruitment industry.

“We want to lead by example, tackling social inequalities like discrimination, bias and barriers to employment, playing our part to build a better, fairer industry for all.”

Paul Marcinkowski, Director, added: “We spent a lot of time during lockdown rediscovering the ‘why’ of our business, exploring where we wanted to be and the kind of industry we wanted to help shape.

“We’ve always seen ourselves as much more than just a recruitment company, and now we’re taking the first steps to change the industry and ensure that it works for everyone.”

Arc’s new branding and Impact Strategy launch today.
