Fuelling Healthy Halton Half-Term

Daresbury based business Ombudsman Services, have teamed up with Widnes Vikings Rugby League Club and Halton Borough Council to support children attending a half-term sports activity camp at the DCBL Stadium in Widnes.

The Ombudsman Services on-site catering team, supported by ingredients from Delifresh and Greenhalgh’s, made available 100 free packed lunches a day over 5 days with fresh fruit, a sandwich, crisps and a drink.

“We’re really proud to support the Widnes Vikings’ half-term camp and Halton Borough Council through the Holiday Activity Fund. It’s a great opportunity for our team to make a difference in our community,” explained Simon Palmer, Managing Director of Ombudsman Services. The initiative is just one part of the company’s efforts to engage and provide support for its local communities.

A spokesperson for Widnes Vikings said: “Our club vision is to transform lives through sport, and the camps are an opportunity for us to work towards this. The support of Ombudsman Services is key to helping us do so.”
