Altrincham’s Price Slater Gawne Celebrates 12 year anniversary

One of the UK’s leading law firms is celebrating its 12th anniversary in business with the news that over the past two years revenue has grown by 64% and headcount has doubled to 70.

Led by directors Victoria Price, Mark Slater and Christopher Gawne, the Altrincham-based firm was founded in 2010 and offers legal expertise in the fields of Clinical Negligence, Serious Injury, Court of Protection, Wills, Trusts and Probate and Lasting Power of Attorney, and Family Law.

“Our success is testament to the firm’s ability to thrive in a highly competitive market,” said founder Victoria Price. “Mark Slater and I started the firm focusing on Clinical Negligence and Serious Injury; in 2012 we were joined by Chris Gawne and in the same year we were identified as a leading firm for Clinical Negligence claims by the prestigious legal directory Chambers and Partners. Today we have one of the largest and most successful teams of claimant clinical negligence solicitors in the North West.”

Mark Slater added: “Over the course of the firm’s history we have expanded, both in areas of practice and size, and now offer expertise in Family Law, as well as working for clients in relation to personal matters including Wills, Trusts, Probate and Lasting Power of Attorney. We have also developed significantly our Court of Protection team, which is ranked in Legal 500 and is nationally renowned for its expertise in this highly complex area of the law. In line with this growth we have also greatly expanded our in-house Costs department and our Accounts, Marketing, HR support and Admin teams.”

“The firm was set up on the basis of paperless and remote working, long before it was common or even thought feasible by others,” said Chris Gawne. “When the pandemic struck, our forward-thinking central tenets of working remotely via the use of cutting edge technology and paperless operation, whilst maintaining seamless business continuation, meant we could continue to service our clients without missing a beat.

“Our ethos is and always will be to provide excellent client care,” he added. “We have built a firm that delivers excellent results year on year for our clients and which develops the careers of our people. We’re in great shape for whatever the future brings.”
