Foundation 92 and partners to support Ukrainian Refugees across Europe

Foundation 92 is appalled at the displacement of many innocent members of society following the ongoing situation in Ukraine.

This displacement has led to a humanitarian crisis that the European Continent has not seen in over 50 years.

Through Foundation 92’s national links, and the commitment of the Foundation’s Veterans Community Support Coordinator, Claire Wright, Foundation 92 is going to support those most in need during this difficult time.

To do this, the Foundation needs the support of the local community, to help provide for Refugees that have been displaced in Europe.

Working with several third sector partners, Foundation 92 is setting up drop off points across Salford and Greater Manchester for donations to support Ukrainian Refugees.

Charity partners across Europe have identified a list of items that are required to support those most affected, and these donations can include toiletries, clothing, and food. Please see at the bottom of this press release a full list of items that will be accepted.

Foundation 92 and partners are looking to ensure this support offer happens in the quickest possible manner. With that in mind, this campaign will run for seven days, launching on Monday the 7th of March and closing on Monday the 14th of March, and from that point, all items donated will then go directly to the area most in need in Europe, delivered via air and road.

Head of Foundation 92, Tom Hutton, said “As a caring and compassionate charity, that is committed to collaborating to eradicate inequality, the Foundation and the entire team felt it was our obligation to respond in a proactive and impactful manner to support those facing significant inequality. As soon as the opportunity arose to support those facing such difficult times, the Foundation felt it had to act.

“Salford and wider Greater Manchester are communities that care for others, and we look forward to working with partners to make as great a difference as possible.”

If you would like to donate or for more information, please contact our Veterans Community Support Coordinator on Claire.Wright@Foundation92.co.uk or call 07706 334848.
