PUDDLE DUCKS SPONSORS PEDALO CHALLENGE

Baron’s Quay swimming school Puddle Ducks couldn’t resist getting into the water at last weekend’s Northwich River Weaver festival.

Puddle Ducks Mid Cheshire was delighted to sponsor and enter a team into a new addition to the weekend’s water-based activities – The Pedalo Challenge.

“We were thrilled to be part of this exciting new event, not least because it was raising funds for the local Rotary Club which does so much to support the local community here in Northwich,” commented Lindsay Kerr, marketing manager for Puddle Ducks Mid Cheshire.  “Our Puddle Ducks team demonstrated on the day that we are far better swimming in the water than propelling a pedalo, but despite losing the race, we thoroughly enjoyed the festival!”

After nine intense rounds of pedalo action on the River Weaver, the Salty Dog pub in Northwich was eventually crowned the champions of this year’s event.

The Puddle Ducks team, Mandy, Melanie, Nici and Rebekah have since returned to the calmer waters of their custom-built Baron’s Quay swimming pool on Weaver Point Way, where they are teaching local babies and children 0-10 years lifelong swimming skills.  They also run Puddle Ducks classes in Weaverham, Macclesfield, and Cheadle Hulme.
