CONNECTUS GROUP IS ACCEPTED ONTO GOVERNMENT’S G-CLOUD 13 FRAMEWORK

BUSINESS focused UK ISP and Managed Service Provider (MSP) Connectus will form part of a major new Government tech framework, it was announced today.

The firm – which provides services across Cheshire – has been accepted and approved onto the Government’s G-Cloud 13 Framework suppliers of cloud hosting, software and support services.

Their integration onto the Cloud 13 Framework will improve the services the business is able to offer its 820 clients.

Commenting Mark Wiseman, the Group Commercial Director of the Connectus Group, said: “This is another significant step forward in the continued growth of the Connectus Group. We’re very proud to have been approved and accepted as suppliers of cloud hosting, software and support services onto the Governments G-Cloud 13 framework.

“Our clients will see an immediate benefit. Public sector bodies are digitally transforming to improve services and reduce their costs.  Moving their IT to innovative cloud solutions underpins that. Having approved cloud suppliers services on the G-Cloud 13 framework provides easy access to the latest innovative products and services and significantly reduces the time and cost of procuring new cloud services.”

Roy Shelton, the CEO of the Connectus Group and the chairman of the Chester Business Club,  added: “Via our model of connect, protect and collaborate, the Connectus Group aims to mitigate cost, complexity and risk for our clients.

By being on the G-Cloud 13 framework, we can further demonstrate our commitment to make digital transformation accessible to a wider audience of government and public sector bodies knowing that they are accessing approved suppliers and services.”

G-Cloud-13 provides cloud hosting and software services, together with associated support services to UK central government departments and all other public sector bodies.

IT solution providers must apply and be approved to be accepted onto this framework.

Details of Connectus’ acceptance onto the scheme comes just a week after they announced a significant new roll-out of its services.

Under the expansion plan the Connectus Group will deliver services at two new Cheshire business hubs in Canalside and Northwhich as well as in the Southside area of Birmingham and at Woodside on the Wirral.

The roll-out is part of an ongoing network infrastructure strategy which will allow Connectus to work with more than 1,000 companies before the end of the year.

Connectus has enjoyed growing success in 2022.

Earlier this year the business, which was formerly known as Connectus Business Solutions, announced they were merging with KTSL to create the Connectus Group.

The businesses and their 60 employees  now operate from six UK and Ireland sites and ambitious plans are in place to create further job opportunities across their commercial, delivery and support functions. Their clients already include AIB, UCB, Unilever, the Peel Group, Sale Sharks and the National Police Air Service. Connectus Group expects to deliver revenues of more than £10m in the current financial year ending March 2023 including significant and sustainable profits which will help pave the way for accelerated organic and inorganic growth.
