Finalists announced for Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards 2022/23

The finalists have been announced for the Marketing Cheshire Tourism Awards 2022/23 with more than 50 businesses and individuals shortlisted across 16 categories

The awards are all about giving hotels, attractions, pubs and more a chance to show why they are a must-visit and recognise the excellence and outstanding achievement by local businesses and individuals working in Cheshire and Warrington’s visitor economy.

There are 16 categories for the awards, including Visitor Attraction of the Year, Pub of the Year, Large Hotel of the Year and Unsung Hero, which will be held at Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington on 23 March 2023.

Many of the winners will go on to represent Cheshire at national level at the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence 2023, giving them the chance to showcase Cheshire’s outstanding tourism offer.

Finalists in the awards include Blue Planet Aquarium in the Experience of the Year category, The Fishpool Inn in the Pub of the Year category, Chester Zoo in the Vistor Attraction of the Year category and The Forest Distillery in the Taste of Cheshire Awards.

A full list of finalists can be found below.

Nicola Said, Commercial Manager at Marketing Cheshire, said: “As always we’ve had a fantastic response to the awards and I want to thank everyone who took the time to enter.

“These awards are our chance to get together and celebrate all of the excellence in our visitor economy here in Cheshire and showcase what we have to offer.

“They also offer a chance for the winners to go on and shout about Cheshire at a national level at the VisitEngland Awards. Tourism and leisure is so important to our economy and these awards give us a chance to show just why so many people choose to come here.”
