Chester-based law firm Manleys is expanding its reputation management services with technology partners as demand surges

Manleys, a Chester-based law firm, has announced two brand-new partnerships to boost its existing work in protecting online reputations in today’s digital world.

With a dramatic increase in high-profile cases being reported in the media in 2022, reputation management is more important than ever. Individual and corporate reputations can be destroyed in an instant if damaging, fabricated, or libellous information, reviews, or content is published online. This may lead to lost revenue, damaged careers, declining bookings and appointments, and much more.

As a result, the control and regulation of online abuse, bad reviews, and negative comments has become big business.

Since its inception in 2012, Manleys has established a formidable reputation for defending its clients against damaging online publications. The firm is responsible for preventing publications, broadcasts and the removal of damaging internet content.

Manleys is collaborating with technology providers in Switzerland and the United Kingdom to provide its clients with access to a portal of their global online presence that is far more comprehensive than a standard search engine such as Google. This allows its clients to monitor their entire internet footprint, whether in print, images, or video format, and disable anything regarded harmful or damaging.

Furthermore, in cases where removal of content is not possible for legal reasons, Manleys can take steps to “demote” and neutralise content so that its prominence in search engine results is dramatically reduced to the point where it is difficult to locate at all.

Mark Manley, Managing Director of Manleys, said: “Our work is to protect the established reputations of our clients, their business interests, and brands. Whilst we have had great successes previously in restriction of harmful content about our clients, these new partnerships add significant new layers of protection such that offending online content can be identified globally, attacked quickly, and either removed entirely or diluted/demoted to such extent that it is almost untraceable. We are delighted to have formed these relationships which will add a lot to the already successful legal remedies we obtain.”

Manleys clients range from members of the Royal family, MPs, Governments, NHS Trusts, large PLCs, SME companies, Football Clubs, Managers, players, agents, athletes, and others involved in sports including Formula One and Boxing. They also have a substantial number of cosmetic surgeons, beauticians, hoteliers and other clients who rely upon online reviews for their business.

For any queries in relation to identification, or removal of online content, contact Mark Manley at mark.manley@manleys.law or see the firm’s website: www.manleys.law
