SUCCESSFUL YEAR FOR CUBE HOMES DELIVERS £2M PROFIT FOR AFFORDABLE HOMES

Manchester’s Cube Homes’ is continuing its expansion in the North West of England after an exceptional year for the business.

The developer, which is part of the Great Places Group, following a successful 12 months when it achieved 48 house sales and generated a turnover of £17m, according to annual results released this week.

As the private sector arm of the Great Places Housing Group, which provides affordable social housing across the region, all profits generated by Cube Homes are reinvested to help projects across Great Places’ communities.

Cube is gearing up for a busy 2023 with the launch of sales at Hawthorn Grange in Lymm in Cheshire in January and plans to launch new developments in Oldham and Woodley in Stockport.

Chris Heath, Cube Homes’ Managing Director, said: “The past few years have been very positive for us despite all the challenges of the pandemic and the uncertainty in the housing market.

“As a result of the efforts of our hardworking team we were proud to generate £2m of profits for Great Places Group over the last year to support their social ambitions to build new houses, help tackle homelessness and all the other fantastic work they do.

“Not only were we delighted to welcome so many homebuyers into their new Cube homes we were also honoured to have won an award for Holcombe View in Whitefield which took the title of Boutique Housing Development of the Year at Insider’s North West Residential Property Awards. We have been shortlisted again this year so fingers crossed!”

He added that 2023 is going to be a very busy year for Cube as the developer works to deliver around 40 much needed new homes. As part of this expansion they are currently recruiting a new assistant project manager.

He said: “We have a great team in place and there are fantastic opportunities available for the right person to join as an assistant project manager to help us continue to grow the business.”
