Pizza Hut® Debuts Beyond Pepperoni® Range in the UK with Beyond Meat®

Pizza Hut and Beyond Meat, Inc., a frontrunner in plant-based meats, have jointly announced the UK launch of an exciting new Beyond Pepperoni® range. This plant-based pepperoni topping is set to captivate both traditional meat lovers and those preferring plant-based diets, featuring on the Big New Yorker, Beyond Pepperoni® Feast Pizza, and Beyond Pepperoni® Melt. Currently available at all Pizza Hut Delivery locations nationwide, it will also be introduced in dine-in restaurants from January 2024 for a limited period.

This launch aims to cater to the UK’s pepperoni lovers, with a particular appeal to Gen Z, 80%* of whom have shown interest in plant-based alternatives. Beyond Pepperoni® offers the familiar taste, texture, and flavor of traditional meat toppings, delivering the classic pepperoni experience with a crispy edge, along with the benefits of plant-based protein.

The Beyond Pepperoni® range includes:

  • Big New Yorker: A 16” pizza topped with Beyond Pepperoni and cheese, cut into six extra-large slices for a fulfilling experience.
  • Beyond Pepperoni Feast: A delightful pizza topped with Beyond Pepperoni, mixed peppers, and mozzarella, customizable to all sizes and crust types.
  • Beyond Pepperoni Melt: A savory Melt filled with Beyond Pepperoni, mixed peppers & mozzarella, complemented by marinara sauce, priced at £6.99.

Hazell White, Head of Brand & Innovation at Pizza Hut UK & Europe, stated, “We’re so proud to be partnering with Beyond Meat again for the launch of our Beyond Pepperoni range. We’ve launched this in November so everyone can enjoy our great tasting pizza over the festive period, whether that’s in our Melts or on our Big New Yorker.”

Hameed Jagani, Vice President, Global Strategic Partnerships at Beyond Meat, commented, “With so many different tastes and dietary preferences, it can be difficult to find a satisfying and tasty pizza that suits everyone. With more and more British consumers looking to reduce their animal meat consumption, we’re thrilled to offer a delicious, innovative plant-based pizza topping that will delight meat lovers, flexitarians and vegetarians alike. Our Beyond Pepperoni helps people continue to Eat What They Love™, without compromising on taste, a balanced lifestyle or the environment.”

The Beyond Pepperoni range is now up for grabs at Pizza Hut Delivery and will be available in all dine-in Pizza Hut restaurants from January 2024 for a limited time. These pizzas feature dairy-based cheese but can also be customized with plant-based cheese at no extra cost.
